Center for Student Success

The CENTER FOR STUDENT SUCCESS (CFSS) at San Juan Elementary School is a friendly, caring place for families, children, school staff and community members.  Our bilingual staff provides information, referrals, and access to various services for students, their families and community members of San Juan Capistrano.  We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Parent Education

In collaboration with the CUSD Family Resource Center, Capistrano Adult  and Community Education, Mission Hospital and the CHEC Family Resource Center, parents have access to a wide range of classes including: Beginning English classes, G.E.D. certification, Family Computer, Family Literacy Nights, Family Math Nights and Nutrition Health Education.

Community Liaison

Our Community Liaisons facilitate the Parent Volunteer Network, including Parent Compacts, our Greeter Program and the Parent Center.  The Parent Center is located in rooms 21 and 41 and is usually open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The Parent Center is a great resource for parents and teachers alike.  Teachers may drop off special projects for parents to complete.  Parents with young children are able to bring their youngsters with them while they help with these projects.  Please contact our Center for Student Success to make arrangements.  The Community Liaisons also assist with Operation School Bell, Shoes that Fit, dental clinics, the home-school connection, home visits and interventions.
